You can use the Printer Details page to view information about a selected printer, such as its name and network location, its print job queue, its settings, the groups it belongs to, and so on.
To display this page, use one of the following methods in the printer list table on the Printers page:

Click the name of the printer. When you do this, the Printer Info tab of the Printer Details page is displayed.

Click for the printer. When you do this, the Queue tab of the Printer Details page is displayed.
The tabs that are displayed on this page depend on your user role and permissions and include the following.
This tab displays read-only information about the printer, including its friendly name, description, location, and icon. This tab also displays a location tree that indicates the printer's network location. Administrators can click Edit Location Nodes to edit this tree.
The following options are available:

Friendly Name: Displays the friendly name of the printer.

Description: Displays the printer description.
-
Location: Displays the printer's network location node.
-
Icon: Displays the printer's icon.
-
Location Tree: Displays a tree that indicates the node in the network in which the printer is located.

Edit Location Nodes: Opens the Edit Location Tree dialog, which you can use to add, move, or delete a node. For more information, refer to Editing the Network Location Tree.
This tab displays a list of print jobs that are in the queue for the selected printer. You can use the options on this tab to pause the print job; clear the queue; view the print history for the printer; and pause, cancel, or resume a print job.
The options that are available depend on whether the selected printer is local or in the shared network and include the following.
Printer

Pause Printing/Resume Printing: Pauses or resumes the print job.

Clear Queue: Clears the print job queue.

View Print History: Opens the Print History page to display the print job history for the printer.
Queue table
-
Job: Displays the ID of the print job.
-
Document: Displays the document name.
-
Submitted: Displays the date and time when the print job was submitted.
-
Printed By: Displays the name of the user who submitted the print job.
-
Status: Displays the document status, such as Printing or Queued.
-
Items: Displays the number of items in the print job.
-
Pages: Displays the number of pages in the print job.

This tab specifies the users and groups who can access the printer and the specific actions that they have permissions to perform (print a document, view the printer's print history, manage the print queue, and/or manage the printer).
The following options are available.
Permissions

: Opens the Add Users/Groups to Permissions dialog so that you can add users and/or groups to the list of users and groups who have permissions to access the printer.
-
Save Changes: Saves the changes that you make to user and group permissions.
-
Cancel: Discards any changes that you made to user and group permissions.
Groups
This area is displayed when one or more groups have access to the printer and lists those groups. By default, the All Users group is displayed and has all access permissions.
Each group box in this area displays the group name, the actions that are permitted for the group, and the following options:

: Opens the Remove Permissions dialog so that you can delete all access permissions for the selected group.

: Expands the permissions list so that you can add or delete specific permissions for the selected group.
Users
This area is displayed when one or more individual users have access to the printer and lists those users. Each user box displays the user name, the actions that are permitted for the user, and the following options:

: Opens the Remove Permissions dialog so that you can delete all access permissions for the selected user.

: Expands the permissions list so that you can add or delete specific permissions for the selected user.

This tab specifies the printer settings that BarTender Cloud supports for the selected printer, such as print speed and darkness. The options that are available vary depending on the printer properties. Settings that you modify by using this tab override the document's printer settings.
Some printers include settings that you can allow the user to change at print time, such as slew speed, graphics encoding, and thermal darkness. Use the fields in the Options section of this tab to determine which of the listed items can be modified at print time.
The modification of printer settings in BarTender Cloud is not supported for all printers. If a printer is not supported, you must modify the settings in the printer driver.
This tab displays the groups that the selected printer belongs to. Use the options on this tab to add the printer to a group or to remove it from a group. Printers can belong to more than one group.
The following options are available:

This printer is in the following group(s): Displays a list of the printer groups that the printer belongs to. To edit a printer group, click the group name to open the Edit Printer Group page. To remove the printer from a group, click .

Add to groups: Specifies a group to add the selected printer to.

This tab displays printer information in an editable format. Use this tab to edit the printer details that appear on the Printer Info tab.
This tab also displays a location tree that indicates the printer's network location. Click Edit Location Nodes to edit this tree.
The following options are available:
