Managing Print Queues

You can use the Queue tab on the Printer Details page to manage a printer's print queue. The procedures to use vary depending on whether the selected printer is local or in the shared network.

ClosedTo open the Queue tab on the Printer Details page

  1. Click to open the BarTender Cloud menu.

  2. On the BarTender Cloud menu, click Administration to open the Administration menu.

  3. Click Printers.

  4. In the row of the printer whose queue you want to work with, click . Alternatively, click the printer name, then click the Queue tab.

ClosedTo pause a print job

Use one of the following methods:

  • In the Printer area on the Printer Details page, click Pause Printing. Available when the selected printer is not a shared printer.

  • Click for the print job that you want, then select Pause print.

ClosedTo resume a paused print job

Use one of the following methods:

  • In the Printer area on the Printer Details page, click Resume Printing. Available when the selected printer is not a shared printer.

  • Click for the print job that you want, then select Resume print.

ClosedTo cancel a print job

  • Click for the print job that you want, then select Cancel.

ClosedTo clear the print queue

  • Click Clear Queue. Available when the selected printer is not a shared printer.

ClosedTo view a printer's print history

The print queue data displayed in the Queue tab is retained for 24 hours after the print job runs. To view print history data after that time elapses:

  • In the Printer area on the Printer Details page, click View Print History to open the Print History page.
