Edit Location Tree Dialog |
Administrators can use this dialog to edit the printer location tree that is displayed on the Printer Details page by moving printers from one node to another; moving, adding, or deleting nodes; editing a node's name; and changing the icon or color of one or more nodes at a time.
The left navigation pane of the dialog displays the currently configured printer location tree. All nodes are automatically listed in alphabetical order, and this order cannot be changed. You can, however, click beside any of the locations to display the assigned printers.
|
If you select a printer in the location tree, the controls beside the tree no longer display. You cannot work with printers in this dialog. |
The options that are available in the dialog vary depending on the tree items that are selected and include the following:
-
Add Node: Adds a new node to the location tree. Available when no nodes are selected.
-
Add Child Node: Adds a new child node to the selected node.
-
Delete Node: Deletes the selected nodes.
-
Edit Node: Displays the following options:
-
Node Name: Specifies a name for the node.
-
Change Icon: Specifies an icon for the node.
-
Icon Color: Specifies a color for the node.
-
Apply: Applies your changes to the selected node.
-
You can delete, move, or edit more than one node at a time. After you save your changes, the Edit Location Tree dialog closes and returns you to the Printer Details page. For more information, refer to Editing the Network Location Tree.
