To link a data source to a data entry control
The property page includes the following options.
Data Sources
The Data Sources pane lists the data sources that are available in the document.
Print Dialog Data Sources: Links the number of copies, printer name, or serial numbers to a control on the data entry form. When you bind these options to controls on the data entry form, the print operator can enter the choice for the option at print time.
Copies: Specifies the number of identical copies of the document that are printed.
Printer: Specifies the printer that is used to print the document.
|
The printer cannot be changed during the course of the print job. Any changes that are made to the printer's data source on the first printed item are in effect for the entire print job. |
Serial Numbers: Specifies the number that serialization starts from.
Named Data Sources: Lists all the named data sources that are defined in your document. Click the named data source that you want to link to the data entry control. For more information about named data sources, refer to Creating Named Data Sources.
Template Object Data Sources: Lists all the template objects in the document and the data sources that are associated with each object. Click the object data source that you want to link to the data entry control.
Properties
The Properties pane is displayed on the property page when you configure a Scale Display Control. You can use this pane to set different data sources for each of the weights that BarTender obtains.
Net Weight: Indicates the weight of the product, minus the weight of the packaging or container.
Gross Weight: Indicates the total weight of the product, including the weight of the packaging.
Input Tare Weight: Indicates the weight of the packaging of a product. When measuring the weight of an object, BarTender subtracts the input tare weight (which is specified in BarTender) from the gross weight (which is received from the scale). The input tare weight can be manually entered at print time in the data entry form, read from a database, or entered as embedded data.
Data Source Properties: Click to modify the properties of the selected data source, including its name, data type, and transforms.
