The date picker control is available only for data sources that are formatted as dates by using the Date data type. You can specify a Date data type for a data source on the Data Type tab of the Data Sources property page.

The date picker control is a data entry control that print operators can use to select a date from a calendar on the data entry form. When this date is linked to a data source or object on the template, it appears in the final output when the document is printed. Dates can be selected from a calendar or entered manually.

The Date Picker Properties dialog specifies the properties of a date picker control. To open this dialog, double-click the control. Alternatively, click Properties on the control's context menu.
