Global Data Field

The Global Data Field data source type is a data source stored in the BarTender System Database. Because they are stored in a network location, global data fields can easily be shared between multiple BarTender documents and BarTender installations. Once the data has been set in the first document, the global data field will be available for all subsequent documents as a named data source.

In addition to the Name and Type options (refer to Data Source tab), when Global Data Field is selected as the data source type, the following additional options are available:

• Field Name. Allows you to select the desired global data field from the dropdown list.

• Global Data Field Properties. Opens the Global Data Fields dialog, where you can configure the properties for the selected Global Data Field.
