Adding Objects to the Template

You use the same basic steps to add any object to the template. However, additional actions or considerations may be necessary, depending on the object type.

ClosedBarcode Object

It is easy to place a barcode on the template, but first, you must determine the best barcode for your needs and the optimal customization of that barcode.

For more information about the types of barcode symbologies and the property pages that are supported by BarTender for customizing the barcode, refer to Barcode Symbologies (opens in an external browser window; requires an Internet connection) and Barcode Properties Dialog.

  3. In the left navigation pane, click the appropriate folder for the symbology type that you want, and then click the barcode that you want from the barcodes that are listed in the results pane on the right. A preview of the selected barcode appears in the Preview area.

Alternatively, you can enter a barcode name into the search field and then select from the search results, or you can click the All Symbologies folder in the left navigation pane and then scroll through the alphabetical list in the results pane to locate and then click the barcode that you want.

  4. Click Select.
