Layout Grid Object

Use the layout grid object to position other template objects within a grid format, with rows and columns that are resized automatically in response to the size and presence of the objects that are contained within the grid cells.

The borders of a layout grid object do not appear on your printed items. When you want borders to print on your items, add a table object to your template. For more information, refer to Table Object.

ClosedTo add a layout grid object to the template

  1. On the object toolbar, click the icon to display the layout grid options. Alternatively, click Layout Grid on the Create menu.

  2. Drag the pointer across the interactive cell selector panel to highlight the number of rows and columns that you want, and then click the selector panel. Alternatively, click Insert Layout Grid, specify the number of rows and columns that you want by using the Insert Layout Grid dialog, and then click OK.

  3. Click the template at the location where you want to add the layout grid object.

  4. Open the Layout Grid Properties dialog to configure the object. To do this, double-click the object. Alternatively, use the secondary mouse button to click the object, and then click Properties.
