Line Property Page

Use the Line property page to specify the location of the end points of a line and to modify the properties of the selected line object.

You can access this property page from both the Template Design view and the Data Entry Form view, as follows:

In the Template Design view, access the Line property page from the Line Properties (templates) dialog.
In the Data Entry Form view, access the Line property page from the Line Properties (forms) dialog.

The following options are available.

Line Properties

Length: Specifies the distance between the two end points of a line.
Thickness: Specifies the thickness of the line object in points.
Color: Displays the currently selected color and/or fill option of the line object. To select a different color or fill option, click this option, and then use the Color Picker to select the color or fill option that you want. For more information, refer to Changing an Object's Color.
Transparency: Specifies the degree to which objects and colors that are under the lines can be seen. The range is from 0 (opaque) to 100 (completely transparent). For more information, refer to Transparency.
Dash Style: Specifies the dash style of the line object. Options range from a solid line to a variety of dashed and dotted lines. For more information, refer to Dash Style.
Compound Style: Specifies the number and thickness of the lines that the line object is made of. For more information, refer to Compound Style.
Join Type: Specifies how BarTender automatically connects multiple lines that are in close proximity to one another. For more information, refer to Join Type.

End Point

X: Specifies the horizontal position of the line object's end point relative to the origin point. For more information, refer to Understanding Origin Points and Anchors.
Y: Specifies the vertical position of the line object's end point relative to the origin point.
Cap: Specifies the shape of the line object's end point. You can use this option to turn a line into an arrow.
Size: Specifies the size of the cap relative to the thickness of the line.
