Transparency

Use the Transparency option to specify the degree of transparency for a background color or template object (including lines, shapes, images, borders, and so on). The degree of transparency comes into play when an object overlaps the background color and/or when an object overlaps another object. By changing the transparency of an object that is on top of the background color or another object, you can specify to what degree the background color or bottom object is visible through the top object.

In the following example, the top object is a circle that is filled with white, and the bottom object is a square that is filled with blue. The transparency of the white-filled area is adjusted in this example, although you can also apply the transparency effect to the lines that border the shapes. You can modify the transparency of lines and fill colors separately for the same object.

At 0 percent transparency, the white-filled area of the top object is completely opaque, and the part of the bottom object that the top object covers does not show through it at all.

At 50 percent transparency, the white-filled area of the top object is partially transparent, and the part of the bottom object that the top object covers is partially visible through it.

At 100 percent transparency, the white-filled area of the top object is completely transparent, and the part of the bottom object that the top object covers is completely visible through it.
