Running Database Maintenance

While scheduling automatic maintenance is recommended, you may find it necessary to manually run your system maintenance to delete and archive your oldest logged information from the BarTender System Database.

Administration Console provides two methods for manually running your system maintenance.

ClosedTo run database maintenance from the Scheduled Maintenance page

  1. In Administration Console's left Navigation Pane, click System Database and expand the node.

  2. Under System Database, click Scheduled Maintenance to open the Scheduled Maintenance page.

  3. In the Status section of the page, click Run Now. Database maintenance is started immediately upon clicking the button.

  4. Click OK to close Administration Console.

ClosedTo run database maintenance from the Administrative Tasks page

  1. In Administration Console's left Navigation Pane, click System Database and expand the node.

  2. Under System Database, click Administrative Tasks to open the Administrative Tasks page.

  3. In the Maintenance section of the page, click the Run Maintenance Now button. Database maintenance is started immediately upon clicking the button.

  4. Click OK to close Administration Console.
