Performing Database Administration |
The Administration Tasks page, available from the System Database node in Administration Console, allows you to complete administrative tasks such as monitoring database size and running database maintenance, backing up and restoring the database, and purging database records.
Use the BarTender System Database Size dialog to view the size of the BarTender System Database, including a breakdown of how the disk space is being used.
Manually delete and archive logged messages from the BarTender System Database from two different locations in the System Database section of Administration Console.
Backing Up and Restoring the Database
Safeguard the data saved to the BarTender System Database by performing routine database backups. The data can subsequently be restored, if necessary.
When necessary, you can delete all information that has been logged to the BarTender System Database, including all print jobs and application messages.
From the Administrative Tasks page you can view the BarTender System Database size and run database maintenance, as well as backup and restore the database, and purge database records.
