The Administrative Tasks page allows you to perform additional tasks related to the BarTender System Database. To access the page, expand the System Database node in Administration Console's left Navigation Pane and click Administrative Tasks.

The following options are available:

System Database Setup Wizard

Clicking the System Database Setup Wizard link open the wizard, where you can create a new BarTender System Database or connect to an existing one.

Maintenance

• View Database Size: Opens the BarTender System Database Size dialog.

• Run Maintenance Now: Starts the maintenance task, deleting the database records as specified on the Scheduled Maintenance page.

Backup and Restore

• Backup Database: Allows you to save a backup of the BarTender System Database.

• Restore Database: Allows you to restore the BarTender System Database from a previously saved backup file.

Purge Records

• Purge All Records Now: Deletes all information that has been logged to the BarTender System Database, including all print jobs and messages. It does not affect any files stored in Librarian, Global Data Fields, or other configuration data.

  Do not purge records until you have stopped all applications actively sending information to the BarTender System Database and have backed up your database.
