The Scheduled Maintenance page, located within the System Database node of Administration Console, allows you to enable, schedule, and customize BarTender System Database maintenance.
The following options are available:
System Database Setup Wizard
Clicking the System Database Setup Wizard link open the wizard, where you can create a new BarTender System Database or connect to an existing one.
Schedule
Enable scheduled database maintenance: When selected, database maintenance automatically occurs at the interval that you specify.
Run Maintenance: From this dropdown list, select whether to run maintenance Daily or Weekly.
Day: From this dropdown list, select the day that you want to run maintenance each week. Available only when Run Maintenance is set to Weekly.
Time: From this field, select or enter the time of day that you want maintenance to run.
Actions
Database Maintenance will delete records older than: Enter or select which records you want deleted each time the maintenance task runs. For instance, if you specify "2 Weeks", each time the maintenance task runs, all records older than 2 weeks will be deleted.
Archive deleted records: When enabled, allows you to archive deleted records to a specified file. Click Browse to select the file.
File: Specifies the path and file name for the archived file. Type the path and file name in the field, or click Browse to browse to and select the file.
Append date and time to archive file: When enabled, appends the date and time to the selected file each time deleted records are archived.
Status
Displays the next date and time that the maintenance task is scheduled to run, as well as the date and time that it most recently ran and whether or not it completed successfully.
Run Now: Allows you to start the maintenance task manually.
