The Security section of the Administration Console lets system administrators control user access within each of the applications of the BarTender Suite. With BarTender's integrated security system, administrators can prevent users from making configuration changes, modifying documents, or even printing.
Follow step-by-step instructions to enable BarTender security.
Enable or disable BarTender security, specify where the security settings are stored, and specify an error handling procedure.
Set user permissions to allow or deny groups and users access to various actions within the BarTender Suite.
Use logging to record specific user actions to the BarTender System Database. When enabled, this setting logs all attempts to access various features in the BarTender Suite, regardless of whether the action was permitted. This can be useful for both troubleshooting and auditing purposes.
Requiring Electronic Signatures
Enable electronic signatures to require groups and users to enter login credentials in order to perform certain actions within the BarTender Suite.
Enable automatic encryption of all BarTender documents that are saved on the computer where the security settings are enabled and encrypt, decrypt, or change encryption keys for existing documents.
