The File menu contains options that allow you to load, save, and print the documents you create and modify using
The File menu options are summarized below.
New. Creates a new
Open. Displays the Open dialog, which allows you to open an existing document and load the templates contained in it.
Close. Closes the active document without exiting
Close All. Closes all open documents without exiting
Save. Saves the active document using the same file name from which it was opened. If the document has not been previously opened, the Save option will display the Save As dialog.
Save and Check In. Names, saves, and checks in the active checked out document to Librarian using the same file name from which it was opened.
Save As. Displays the Save As dialog, which allows you to save the active document by defining the name and specifying a location where it will be saved.
Save All. Saves all open
Database Connection Setup. Opens the Database Connection Setup dialog, which allows you to specify the characteristics of the database used in the active document.
Page Setup. Opens the Page Setup dialog, which allows you to control the dimensions and placement of items on a single page of stock.
Print Preview. Displays the items in a print job as they will be printed.
Print. Opens the Print dialog, where you can print items and specify the number of serialization opportunities and copies to print. Using this dialog, you can also select the printer on which you want to print your items.
Reprint Console. Opens the Reprint Console application, where you can resend a print job to a printer.
Run BTXML Script. Allows you to select and execute BTXML script files.
Print Batch. Allows you to select and execute a BarTender batch file.
Export Image. Opens the Export Image dialog, which allows you to export a document or an object on the template to a supported image format.
Export Printer Code Template. Opens a sub-menu from which you choose the print system to use in creating a printer code template. This feature is available with the Automation Edition of BarTender and better.
BarTender Document Password. Opens the BarTender Document Password dialog, which allows you to set a password to protect various aspects of a document including printing and modifying the templates.
View Embedded Revision Log. Opens the Embedded Revision Log dialog, which allows you to embed file information into the
Recent File. Displays the file names of the most recently opened
