Adding a Linked Printer
Use the Printers page to add a linked printer to this BarTender Cloud tenant. Use the Printer Details page to modify or remove a linked printer. A linked printer must be weblink enabled and part of Seagull Software's Universal Printer driver.

Click
to open the BarTender Cloud menu. -
On the BarTender Cloud menu, click Administration to open the Administration menu.

Click Printers.

On the Printers page, click Add Connected Printer.

In the Add Connected Printer dialog, select the brand of the printer you want to add and click Next.

Scan the QR code to link to the server, then click Start Discovery.

The dialog displays a list of available printers to add. Select the printer to add and click Next.
If the previous scan was successful, that printer is included in this list.

Configure the printer information.
- Model: Displays the model of the selected printer.
- Serial Number: Displays the serial number of the selected printer.
- Friendly Name: Displays the user-friendly name for the printer. This name can be change if needed.
- Description: Enter a description of the printer, for example, "#2 for line A in Chicago warehouse." This description cannot begin with a space.

Click Create.

When the printer successfully connects, click Edit Printer to open the Edit tab on the Printer Details page, or click Close.
The linked printer displays in the list on the Printers page.
To open the Printer Details page
To display this page, use one of the following methods in the printer list table on the Printers page:

Click the name of the printer. When you do this, the Printer Info tab of the Printer Details page is displayed.

Click
for the printer. When you do this, the Queue tab of the Printer Details page is displayed.

On the Printer Details page, click the Edit tab.

Edit the details for the linked printer that appear on the Printer Info tab.

Click Edit Location Nodes to edit the location tree.

Click Save Changes.

On the Printer Details page, page, click the Edit tab.

Click the Unlink Printer button.

Confirm that you want to remove the linked printer.
Unlinking a printer will interrupt any currently active print jobs for that printer.

Removing a linked printer does not affect Print History, since these records are retained by BarTender Cloud. |
