Resizing Objects

At times, you may want to resize the objects on the template. Although there are several different types of objects that you can place on a template, the basic process of increasing or decreasing the size of each object is the same. The easiest way to resize an object is by using your mouse.

ClosedTo resize an object by using your mouse

  1. Click to select the object that you want to resize.

  2. To resize both height and width, position the pointer over one of the four corner handles. To resize in only one direction, position the pointer over one of the side handles or over the top-center or bottom-center handle.

  3. Click and drag the selected handle until the object is the size that you want.

  4. Release the mouse button.

When you resize objects by using the mouse, the behavior of an object varies depending on whether BarTender's snap behavior is enabled. When snap behavior is enabled, BarTender automatically assists you in aligning the object's size based on other objects, ruler division marks, and the template. For more information, refer to Object Snapping.

You can also resize an object by using the Object Properties dialog for the selected object. The following list directs you to the property pages that you can use to resize different objects on your template.
