Shape Property Page |
The Shape property page, available from the Shape Properties dialog, enables you to modify the dimensions, fill color, and border properties for the selected object.
Shape Size
Width: Specifies the horizontal dimension of the selected object.
Height: Specifies the vertical dimension of the selected object.
Lock Aspect Ratio: When enabled, preserves the width to height ratio if the selected object is resized. For ellipses, the resulting shape will be a circle; for rectangles, it will be a square.
Line Properties
Thickness: Specifies the thickness of the lines that compose the selected object.
Color: Specifies the color and/or patterns of the lines that compose the selected object. For more information, see Changing an Object's Color.
Transparency: Determines the degree to which the lines of the selected object allow other colors under it to be seen.
Dash Style: Determines the frequency and size of spaces appearing along the lines that compose the selected object.
Compound Style: Determines the number of lines, along with their pattern, of the lines that compose the selected object.
Join Type: Determines how the corners of a shape object are formatted.
Fill Properties
Color: Specifies the color and/or pattern of the selected object. For more information, see Changing an Object's Color.
Transparency: Determines the degree to which the selected object enables objects under it to be seen.
Box Options
Corner Type: Specifies whether the corners of the box object are rounded, rectangular, or contain a different effect.
Opens the Corner Options dialog, where you can specify advanced corner options.
Corner Size: Specifies the distance from the beginning of the corner's curvature to the invisible intersection of the "corner". By setting this option, the height and width of the corner have the same measurement.
Sides: Specifies which sides of the box object are visible. The corners remain visible in all instances.
Shape-Specific Options
Number of Sides: Specifies the number of sides that compose the selected shape. Available for polygons.
Number of Points: Specifies the number of line intersections contained in the selected object. Available for star objects.
Number of Waves: Specifies the number of waves contained in the selected object. Available for banner objects.
Style: Specifies whether the lines curve to meet in the bottom point. Available for heart objects.
