Compound Style

The compound style determines the number and pattern of the lines that compose the selected object. Compound style lines emphasize shapes, and can act as an accent to draw the viewer’s eye. Compound styles can be applied to text objects, shape objects, and single lines.

While the Compound Style option is available for lines of all thicknesses, it is more noticeable on lines with thickness of 2 pixels or higher. The thickness you select determines the size of the smallest line, and the subsequent lines are drawn proportionately to it. The following image illustrates the use of a compound style on a text object and a shape object.
