Modifying Properties for Multiple Selected Objects |
Modifying multiple objects at once is similar to modifying individual objects. First you must select the objects to be modified using one of the following methods:
If the objects you want to modify have already been created as an object group, simply double-click on any object that is part of the group to open the Object Properties dialog. Alternatively, select Properties from the context menu of any object in the group.
If the objects you want to modify are not an existing object group, select the objects you want as described in Selecting Multiple Objects. Once all of the objects are selected, simply double-click on any one of the selected objects to open the Object Properties dialog. Alternatively, select Properties from the context menu of any one of the selected objects.
Once opened, the Object Properties dialog lists the property pages for the master selected object for the group in the Navigation Pane. It additionally lists the property pages that are practical for group edits under Multiple Selected Objects in the Navigation Pane.

The master selected object is a temporary designation. It is the object that you double clicked on to open the Object Properties dialog, or the one from whose context menu you opened the Object Properties dialog. On the template, you can recognize the master selected object by the green selection border outlining it; the secondary selected objects are outlined with gray selection borders. |
The property pages for the Multiple Selected Objects may include the following, depending on the types of objects included in the group:
Line Style: The Line Style property page defines the line style parameters common to shape and line objects, as well as any object that has a border enabled.
Fill Style: The Fill Style property page defines the fill style parameters common to shape objects.
Font: This property page is identical to the standard Font property page, and your specifications here affect all objects in the group the same way their own Font property page would affect each object.
Group Position: This property page is identical to the standard Position property page, and specifies the position of the group as a whole.
Object Size: This sets the width and height for all objects that support these features, specifically shapes.
Text Format: This property page is identical to the standard Text Format property page, and your specifications here affect all objects in the group the same way their own Text Format property page would affect each object.
If you wish to modify each object's individual properties, click the icon at the top of the Navigation Pane to open the All Objects view. This view lists each object as a separate entity, allowing you to modify the individual property pages of each object in the group, as well as the position of each object within the selected group. Click the icon to return to the default view.
