Administer Menu

The Administer menu contains options that allow you to configure BarTender's administrative and application settings. The items available on the Administer menu will vary depending on the edition of BarTender and the components you have installed.

The Administer menu options are summarized below.

• Log Setup. Opens the Log Setup dialog, which defines how BarTender will log message information. This information can be useful for troubleshooting difficulties you may encounter while using BarTender.

• Application Message Setup. Opens the Message Setup dialog, which defines how BarTender handles information, warning, and error messages.

• Alert Setup. Opens the Alert Setup dialog, which allows you to configure BarTender to notify individuals via e-mail or messaging system of any messages.

• BarTender Document Setup. Opens the BarTender Document Setup dialog, which specifies version and revision save options.

• Licensing Setup. Opens the Licensing Setup dialog, which defines how BarTender connects with the Seagull License Server.

• Folder and File Locations Setup. Opens the Folder and File Locations Setup dialog, which allows you to configure and set BarTender files and directories.

• Advanced Printer and Driver Setup. Opens the Advanced Printer and Driver Setup dialog, which defines advanced printer settings for the printers installed on your system.

• Scanner and Camera Setup. Opens the Scanner and Camera Setup dialog, which allows you to select a scanner or camera device that is connected to your computer.

• Weighing Scale Setup. Opens the Weighing Scale Setup dialog, which lists all of the scales configured for use with BarTender.

• SAP IDoc Definitions Setup. Opens the IDoc Definitions Setup dialog, which allows you to link an IDoc Type definition to a parser file.

• Printer Code Template Setup. Opens the Printer Code Template Setup dialog, which configures the print systems defined in BarTender.

• Print-Only Password Setup. Opens the Print-Only Password Setup dialog, which allows you to specify a password to protect the open document.
