Indicates that the listed printer is currently installed on your computer.

The Advanced Printer and Driver Setup dialog, accessible from the Administer menu, specifies advanced printer settings such as the dot size of your printer, the media type, and the printer type for each printer installed on your system.
The left pane of the dialog contains a list of printers, including all printers currently installed on your computer. Additionally, you can manually add printers to the list that are not currently installed. This may be useful when creating a printer settings file to be shared among multiple computers on a network.
You may see one or more of the following icons preceding a printer name:
Indicates that the listed printer is currently installed on your computer.
Indicates that the listed printer is not currently installed on your computer.
You can manually add a printer to the list, or remove one that you have already added, using the toolbar at the bottom of the printer list.
For the selected printer, you can configure the printer technology and fine-tune the resolution using the Printer Settings section of the Advanced Printer and Driver Setup dialog.
Override Default Settings. When enabled, allows you to modify printer and driver settings.
Printer
Print Technology. Defines the type of printer. This is primarily used for calculating the appropriate dot size for the selected printer.
Dot size (including ink spread). Specifies the dot size of the selected printer. The dot size is defined as the smallest mark that a printer is able to make on paper, and is measured in units of mils (1 mil equals 0.001 inch). How the dot size is calculated is based on the Print Technology and ink spread:
Thermal printers are very precise, and the minimum dot size is equal to the inverse of the resolution. For example, a 600 dpi printer will have a dot size of 1/600 of an inch, or 0.0017 in, or 1.7 mils.
For inkjet and laser printers, the ink or toner spreads by a certain amount, which on average is about 25%. A 600 dpi laser printer will have a dot size of about 2.5 mils.
For impact (dot matrix) printers, the dot size is fixed depending on whether it is a 9 pin or 24 pin printer.
Media Type. Specifies the type of media in your printer. This is used to display the correct options in the New Document Wizard. If the default media type is not correct, you can change it to one of the following options:
Page. The selected printer prints on separate, unattached pages. This option applies to most inkjet and laser printers.
Roll. The selected printer prints on roll media. This option applies to most thermal printers that print on rolls of labels or continuous tags.
Card. The selected printer prints on card media. This option applies to most thermal printers that print on individual cards.
CD/DVD. The selected printer prints on a CD or DVD.
Driver
Use alternate method to control data sourced copies. This option can be used to work around problems encountered when using a data source for the Copies setting.
Some drivers have difficulty in changing the number of copies per page during a single print job. For example, if your print job was supposed to print 2 copies of the first item, 5 copies of the second item and 4 copies of the third item, you may receive 2 copies of each item instead when you print. This option ensures that you will receive the correct number of each item when using a data source for the Copies setting.
