Create New Printer Group Page

Use this page to create a new printer group by selecting printers or printer groups to add and by configuring a description, an icon, and a color to make the new group easier to find.

To open this page, click Create Printer Group on the Printers page.

The following options are available:

  • Group Name: Specifies the name of the new printer group.

  • Group Description: Specifies a description for the group.

  • Parent Group: Specifies a parent group that the new group will belong to.

  • Change Icon: Specifies an icon to represent the group.

  • Icon Color: Specifies a color for the group icon.

  • Available Printers/Available Groups: Lists the printers or printer groups that are available to add to the new group.

    • Deselect All: Clears the selections in the Available Printers/Available Groups list.

    • : Filters the Available Printers/Available Groups list by the search term that you specify.

  • : Moves all the printers/groups in the Available Printers/Available Groups list to the Selected Printers/Selected Groups list.

  • : Moves the selected printers/groups from the Available Printers/Available Groups list to the Selected Printers/Selected Groups list.

  • : Moves the selected printers/groups from the Selected Printers/Selected Groups list to the Available Printers/Available Groups list.

  • : Moves all the printers/groups from the Selected Printers/Selected Groups list to the Available Printers/Available Groups list.

  • Selected Printers/Selected Groups: Lists the printers or printer groups that you selected to add to the new group.

  • Select Available Groups/Select Available Printers: Toggles between the list of available printers and the list of available printer groups.
