Adding Phrases from a Library to a Document

After you create a phrase library and connect it to your document, you can specify the phrase that you want to use as the data source for a specific template object. You do this by dragging a phrase library to the template to create a text object and then selecting the phrase that you want or by changing an existing template object's data source type to Library Phrase and then selecting the phrase that you want. When you take these actions, you simultaneously create the phrase as a Library Phrase data source.

If you need to change the phrase that an object is linked to, you can do this by selecting another phrase from the phrase library to be the object's data source. You can also turn part or all of a text object's existing Embedded Data data source into a phrase in a connected phrase library, which simultaneously creates that phrase as a Library Phrase data source for the object.

The following procedures assume that you have connected a phrase library to your document. For information about how to do this, refer to Creating and Connecting to a Phrase Library.
