Configuring Email Notifications

You can use the built-in email notification functionality of the Workflow Designer to specify that a notification email message is sent to the users or groups that you want when a particular workflow transition occurs or when a particular workflow state is entered or exited.

ClosedTo configure a notification email message for a workflow object

  1. On the Workflow Designer design canvas, click the object that you want, and then click Notifications to display the Notifications properties.

  2. Click to select the Send notification, Send enter state notification, or Send approval notification check box (depending on the selected object type), and then click Setup. The Notification dialog is displayed.

  3. In the dialog, configure the settings that you want. To test your email configuration, click Test. Otherwise, click OK to save your changes and close the dialog.
