Email Servers |
Use the Email Servers section of Administration Console to configure one or more named email servers that are referenced by Printer Maestro or Librarian to send notification emails to the users and groups that you specify. For example, you can use this page to configure an email server to send a notification email whenever a particular workflow state of a document that is stored in Librarian is changed.
By using this page, you can create and view a list of email servers, configure email accounts and their network and security settings, and send a test email message. The following options are available.
Email Servers
Email Servers: Displays a list of the email servers that have been configured. If you have not yet configured a server, click Add New Email Server to add your first server to the list.
To add another server to the Email Servers list, click Add.
To remove a server from the list, select the server name, and then click .
To the right of the Email Servers list, you can view and edit properties of the server that is selected in the Email Servers list. The following options are available:
Name: Specifies the display name of the selected server. To change this name, click the Name field, and then enter the new name.
Account Setup
Mail Server: Displays the name of the outgoing mail server.
Mail From: Specifies the default address to use as the From address for the email message.
Settings: Specifies the network and security settings that are configured for the selected server, as follows:
Requires authentication: Specifies that authentication is required for the user to send an email message.
User name: Specifies the user name for the outgoing email account. Available when Requires authentication is selected.
Password: Specifies the password for the outgoing email account. Available when Requires authentication is selected.
Port: Specifies the email port that you want to use.
Reset To Default: Specifies that the email port is reset to the default value of 25.
Network Timeout: Specifies the time in seconds that elapses before the connection times out.
Encrypt connection data using Secure Socket Layer (SSL/TLS): Specifies that Secure Socket Layer encryption is used for the outgoing server.
Test: Opens the Send Test Email dialog, which you can use to send a test email message to the account that you specify in the To field of the dialog. The Messages field displays the success or failure messages that are related to the test.
