You can rotate an object in place around its own center point or around its anchor, which is specified on the object's Position property page.
You can rotate objects by using one of the following methods.
To rotate an object around its own center point by using the Rotate dialog

Click the object that you want to rotate.

On the main toolbar, click Arrange, and then click Rotate. The Rotate dialog opens.

In the Angle area, specify the angle of rotation that you want.

In the Direction area, specify the direction of rotation that you want.
To rotate an object around its own center point by using the arrange toolbar

Click the object that you want to rotate.

On the arrange toolbar, click the rotate option that you want to use.
To rotate an object around its own center point by using the mouse

Click the object that you want to rotate.

Click the blue dot that appears at the top edge of the object, and then drag it clockwise or counterclockwise to rotate the object around its own center point to the angle that you want.
To rotate an object around its anchor

Double-click the object to open the Object Properties dialog.

Click Position to open the Position property page.

In the Rotation area, specify the angle of rotation that you want.

If you specify an origin point in the Advanced Position Settings dialog of the Position property page, only the positioning of the object is specified, not its rotation. The anchor that you select on the Position property page does not affect how the other rotation methods work.
