Position Property Page |
Use the Position property page to view and specify exact coordinates for the position of the selected object or control and to prevent the object or control from being moved on the template or form.
You can access this property page from both the Template Design view and the Data Entry Form view, as follows:
In the Template Design view, access the Position property page from the Object Properties dialog.
In the Data Entry Form view, access the Position property page from the Control Properties dialog.

When multiple objects are selected on the template or data entry form, the Group Position property page is available, which provides the same options as the Position property page does for a single object. For more information, refer to Modifying Properties for Multiple Selected Objects. |
The following options are available.
Position
Anchor: Specifies the object's anchor position. The default anchor position is Top Left, which means that the anchor is the top left corner of the object.
X: Specifies the distance, left or right, of the anchor from the origin point. Negative values are supported but may result in the object being positioned partially or entirely off the template.
: Opens the Advanced Position Settings dialog, where you can configure the object's origin point.
Y: Specifies the distance, higher or lower, of the anchor from the origin point. Negative values are supported but may result in the object being positioned partially or entirely off the template.

Rotation
Angle: Specifies the degrees by which the object should be rotated around its anchor. Select a commonly used degree from the list, or click in the field to specify the rotation angle to a tenth of a degree. Not available for data entry controls or text objects (other than word processor text objects) on the data entry form.

You can also rotate objects by using the Rotate dialog, which you can access from the Arrange menu. For information about other methods that you can use to rotate objects, refer to Rotating Objects. |
Layer
Layer: Specifies the layer on which the selected object is placed. Not available for data entry controls and objects on the data entry form.
Lock Object: Prevents users from moving, resizing, or rotating the selected object.
