Workflow Rules Dialog |
Use this dialog to add or edit rules for your workflow and to change their priority. To access this dialog, click New Workflow Rule or Edit Workflow Rule on the Librarian Setup page.
The rules that you create are listed in this dialog in order of priority. The least specific rule should be listed at the top (lowest priority) and the most specific at the bottom (highest priority).
The following options are available:
New Rule: Opens the New Rule dialog, which you can use to configure a workflow rule for specific files or file types (for example, all BarTender [*.btw] documents that reside in a particular folder in Librarian).
Edit: Opens the Edit Rule dialog so that you can edit the selected workflow rule.
: Deletes the selected rule.
: Moves the selected rule up one position in the list.
: Moves the selected rule down one position in the list.
Enabled: Specifies whether the selected workflow is active or inactive. For example, you might want to set the workflow to inactive (by clearing this check box) so that you can preview or publish any changes without affecting the current production environment.
Workflow: Displays the name of the workflow.
Path Filter: Displays the path for the directory that the rule applies to.
File Filter: Displays the file type that the rule applies to.
Preview Changes: Starts the Preview Changes wizard so that you can verify your workflow and any changes that you made before you publish them.
Publish: Starts the Publish Changes wizard so that you can update workflow and state assignments as needed, select the initial state for the files that are specified in the workflow, and then publish the workflow.

When you publish a new or updated workflow rule to an existing production environment, documents that are already using the affected workflow might undergo unwanted state changes. |
