New Rule or Edit Rule Dialog |
|
The name of this dialog varies depending on whether you access it by clicking New Rule or Edit in the Workflow Rules dialog. |
Use this dialog to create or edit rules that assign workflows to specific files and file types for files that are stored in Librarian or that exclude certain files or file types from using a workflow. You can also expressly deny users permissions to add new files of specified file types to a specified folder, which can prevent workflows that are in progress from being inadvertently used or changed.
The following options are available:
For files in Librarian folder(s): Specifies the path of the Librarian folder that you want the rule to apply to. To also apply the rule to the folder's subfolders, add an asterisk character (*) to the end of the path (for example, lib://*).
Browse: Opens the Browse for Folder dialog, which you can use to locate and then select the Librarian folder that you want the rule to apply to. You can also use this dialog to create a new folder in the selected Librarian directory.
With file type(s): Specifies the file types of the files that you want the rule to apply to.
Use Regular Expressions: Specifies that regular expressions are used to identify the folder and file types that you want to apply the rule to.
Use workflow: Specifies that you want a workflow to be used with the specified files and file types. Available after at least one workflow is published.
Workflow: Specifies the workflow that you want to use.
Deny adding file(s): Specifies that users are expressly denied permissions to add new files of the specified file types to the specified folder.
Exclude files or folders from using a workflow: Specifies that the specified files or folders are excluded from using a workflow.
Rule Comments: Specifies a description of or comment about the rule.
