Scale Property Page |
From the Scale property page, you can connect a scale display control to an installed scale, edit the scale's configuration, and specify the scale's unit of measurement. You can also enable automatic capture of a stable weight and printing. This property page contains a preview area that shows how the scale display control appears on the data entry form, based on the current settings.
To open the Scale property page
The following options are available:
Weighing Scale Setup: Opens the Weighing Scale Setup dialog, which you can use to configure scales that are installed on your system and to add scales.
Scale Configuration
Scale: Specifies the weighing scale that BarTender connects to in order to receive a weight value.
Properties: Opens the installed scale's Scale Properties dialog, which you can use to modify the settings of the selected scale.
Scale Control Properties
Appearance: Specifies what the scale display control looks like on the form.
Opens the Scale Appearance dialog, which you can use to customize the appearance of the scale display control.
Weight Units: Specifies the scale's unit of measurement.
Capture stable weight automatically: Instructs BarTender to automatically record a stable weight when an item is placed on the scale. You can configure the variables by which BarTender determines a stable weight on the Advanced tab of the Scale Properties dialog.
Print after capture: Automatically prints the document when a stable weight is recognized. This option eliminates the need to click Print on the data entry form after a stable weight is captured.
Start Test: Determines whether BarTender can connect to the specified scale by using the connection settings that are configured in the Scale Properties dialog.
