Export Image Dialog |
Use the Export Image dialog to export your entire template or data entry form design (or specific objects on your template or form) as an image that can be either copied to the Clipboard or saved to a supported image format.
You can access the Export Image dialog by using any of the following methods:
On the File menu, click Export Image.
Using the secondary mouse button, click an object on the template or an object or control on the data entry form, and then click Export Image on the context menu.
Using the secondary mouse button, click a blank area of the template or data entry form, and then click Export Image on the context menu.
The Export Image dialog contains the following options.
Export Image
Export entire template image: Exports the entire template, including all objects, as an image. Available when the Export Image dialog is opened from the Template Design view.
Export entire data entry form image: Exports the entire data entry form, including all controls and objects, as an image. Available when you open the Export Image dialog from the Data Entry Form view.
Export selected objects: Exports only selected objects on the template, or selected controls and objects on the form, as an image. Available only if you selected one or more objects or controls on your template or form.
|
If you choose to export a barcode as an image, the resulting image contains the barcode and any quiet zones. |
Include non-printing objects: Specifies that all objects that are configured on the Selected Object property page to never print are exported to the image. Available when you open the Export Image dialog from the Template Design view.
Destination
Copy to clipboard: Copies your export selection to the Windows Clipboard. After you export the selection to the Clipboard, you can then enter another Windows program and use that program's Paste command to bring the contents of the Clipboard into the program.
Save to file: Saves your export selection as a single image file.
|
When you export to an encapsulated post script (EPS) format, a bitmap version of the file is generated rather than a file that contains postscript codes. |
Image Options
Transparent background: Saves the exported image with a transparent background. Available when you select Save to file in the Destination section of the dialog.
Colors: Specifies the type of colors to be used in the exported file. From the list, select Auto, Monochrome, or Color.
Resolution: Specifies the resolution of the bitmap that is being exported, measured in dots per inch (dpi). For the best results, you should generally leave this setting at the default setting of Printer. If you choose to set a Custom resolution, the available range is 20 to 3000 dpi. Available when you open the Export Image dialog from the Template Design view.
|
Always export barcodes at the resolution that you want. Resizing barcodes in other programs may cause scanning problems. |
