Setting Tab Order

The tab order specifies the order in which data entry controls on your form are highlighted when you press the Tab key on your keyboard. BarTender includes four logical orders to choose from; if none of these fit your needs, you can manually specify a custom tab order. The tab order is defined by using the form's Tab Order property page.

If you do not want a control included in the tab order, you can exclude it from tabbing on that control's Data Entry property page.

  1. Double-click on a blank area of the data entry form to open the Form Properties dialog. Alternatively, you can right-click to open the form's context menu and select Form Properties.

  2. In the navigation pane, select Tab Order to open the Tab Order property page.

  3. Customize the options for tab order.

  4. Click Close to close the Form Properties dialog.
