Insert Variable Dialog |
The Insert Variable dialog enables you to add Integration, Global, and System variables to your integration or action. Variables are placeholders that represent specific information at the time that the integration or action is executed. Among other uses, these variables can specify such things as a text or IDoc file name, a trigger file's contents, and additional command parameters.
Access this dialog from any Integration property page or Actions property page.
To open the Insert Variable dialog, click at the right of the desired property.
The following options are available in the dialog:
Left Navigation Pane
Depending on the selected property, and whether you are configuring an Integration or Action property page, one or more of the following variable types will be displayed in the left Navigation Pane:
Action: Click Action in the left Navigation Pane to display available Action variables.
Integration: Click Integration in the left Navigation Pane to display available Integration variables; both the default variables and any custom variables you have created.
Global: Click Global in the left Navigation Pane to display available Global variables; both the default variables and any custom variables you have created.
System: Click System in the left Navigation Pane to display available System variables.

Variable Pane
Displays the variables for the type you selected in the left Navigation Pane.
To add a variable to the property page, select the variable and click OK. Alternatively, double-click the variable.
