Creating Custom Variables

You can create your own custom global and integration variables.

You cannot create custom Action or System variables.

ClosedTo create a custom global variable

  1. Open the integration file that you want in Integration Builder, and then click Options on the left Navigation Pane of the Administration () tab.

  2. In the Custom Global Variables section of the page, click Add Variable. A new variable is added to the Variables list.

  3. Select the new variable in the Variables list.

  4. In the Name field, type a name for the variable.

  5. In the Value field, specify the value for the variable. Alternatively, click Import to open the Open File dialog, and then browse to and select a file that contains the values that you want to be assigned to the variable. When you click this file, its contents are imported into the Value field.

ClosedTo create a custom integration variable

  1. In Integration Builder, select the integration that you want on the Home tab, and then click Variables in the Integration Settings pane.

  2. In the Custom Integration Variables section of the page, click Add Variable. A new variable is added to the Variables list.

  3. Select the new variable in the Variables list.

  4. In the Name field, type a name for the variable.

  5. In the Value field, specify the value for the variable. Alternatively, click Import to open the Open File dialog, and then browse to and select a file that contains the values that you want to be assigned to the variable. When you click this file, its contents are imported into the Value field.
