Deleting an Encryption Key

When an encryption key is no longer being used, and you have no plans to use it in the future, you may want to delete it.

If you delete a key that was used to encrypt a document, you will no longer be able to use that document. Prior to deleting the encryption key, either remove encryption from the affected document or change the document's encryption key.

ClosedTo delete an encryption key

  1. In Administration Console's left Navigation Pane, click Security and expand the node.

  2. Under Security, click Encryption to open the Encryption page.

  3. Select the desired encryption key in the Encryption Key pane.

  4. Click the Delete button.

  5. Click Apply to save your changes. Alternatively, click OK to save your changes and close Administration Console.
