BarTender Document Encryptor Dialog |
The BarTender Document Enryptor dialog, accessible from the Encryption page located within the Security node of Administration Console, allows you to assign encryption keys to existing documents, change encryption keys for documents, and remove encryption from documents.
BarTender Documents
BarTender Documents Pane: Displays the documents you have selected from Windows Explorer after clicking the Add button.
Add: Opens Windows Explorer so you can browse to and select the documents you want to work with in the BarTender Document Encryptor dialog.
Remove: Removes any documents currently selected in the BarTender Documents pane.
Select All: Selects all documents within the BarTender Documents pane.
Modify Selected Documents
New Key: Allows you to select the encryption key you want to apply to the documents currently selected in the BarTender Documents pane.
Encrypt Selected Documents Using New Key: Once clicked, the documents currently selected in the BarTender Documents pane are encrypted using the encryption key selected in the New Key dropdown list.

As existing documents are encrypted, they are saved in the version of BarTender that you are currently running. Therefore, if you encrypt a document that was created in an older version of BarTender, you will no longer be able to open the document in that older BarTender version. |
