Assigning Permissions for a User or Group

In order for individuals and groups to be given security rights for BarTender, they must first be created as Windows users, either locally or on the domain. Once this has been done, you can assign permissions using the following procedure.

In Administration Console's left Navigation Pane, click Security and expand the node.
Under Security, click User Permissions to open the User Permissions page.
At the bottom of the Users and Groups pane, click Add to open the Add User or Group dialog.

Select the user you wish to add. You can refine the users and groups in the list by selecting a Location or by entering search criteria, such as a user or group name.

To select multiple entities, hold down the Ctrl button on your keyboard while clicking on the desired user(s) or group(s).

Click OK to close the Add User or Group dialog.
With the newly added user or group selected in the Users and Groups pane, specify the permissions you wish to allow or deny.
Click Apply to apply the settings. Alternatively, click OK to apply the settings and close Administration Console.
