Arrange Menu |
The Arrange menu options perform the following functions:
Combining multiple objects together into a group that can be moved as a single object
Providing advanced ways of positioning objects relative to one another
Ordinarily, basic mouse motions are sufficient to organize and position objects on a template or data entry form. Sometimes, however, you may need more advanced control over the layout of the objects. The Arrange menu provides that advanced level of control.
Arrange menu options include the following:
Order: Opens a submenu that allows you to move an object in front of or behind other objects that overlap it.
Move to Layer: Opens a submenu that allows you to move the selected object to the layer of your choice.
Group: Combines two or more objects into a single group to allow simultaneous positioning or modification of all the objects in the group.
Ungroup: Breaks apart a group of combined objects.
Align: Organizes selected objects into rows or columns and adjusts the horizontal and vertical spacing between objects.
Rotate: Rotates individual objects and groups of objects on the template.
Duplicate: Opens the Duplicate dialog, where you can specify:
How many copies you want made of the selected objects
The locations on the template where you want the copies placed relative to the original object
Scale: Opens the Scale dialog, where you can specify the options for resizing (scaling) the selected objects on the template.
Lock: Locks the selected objects so that they cannot be moved, resized, or rotated.
Unlock: Unlocks the selected objects so that they can again be moved, resized, or rotated.
