Resizing Objects on the Data Entry Form

At times, you may wish to resize the objects on the data entry form. Although there are several different types of objects which you can place on a data entry form, the basic process of increasing or decreasing the size of each object is the same. The easiest way to resize is using your mouse.

To resize an object using your mouse

  1. Click on the object you want to resize to select it.

  2. Position the pointer cursor over one of the four corner handles to resize both height and width. To resize in only one direction, position the pointer over one of the side handles, or over the top-center or bottom-center handle.

  3. Click and hold the primary mouse button.

  4. Drag the selected handle until the object is the desired size.

  5. Release the mouse button.

When resizing objects using the mouse, the behavior of an object will vary based on whether or not BarTender's snap behavior is enabled. When a snap behavior is enabled, BarTender will automatically assist you in aligning the object's size based on other objects, ruler division marks, and the data entry form grid. For more information, refer to Object Snapping.

You can also resize an object using the Control Properties dialog for the selected object. Below is a list of objects you can use on the data entry form along with the property pages needed to resize the object.
