Text Control |
A text control is a text object found on the data entry form that cannot be modified at print-time. It can be a control label, giving instructions about what to enter into a related reply object. It can be a text label used to describe a set of related controls. It could be a paragraph of text describing the intent of the data entry form. Whatever text you decide to put on the data entry form takes the form of a text control.
The Text Control Properties dialog specifies the properties of a text control, and can be accessed using the following methods:
When designing the Data Entry Form, select the desired check box. Double-click on the text to open the Text Control Properties dialog. Alternatively, you can open the context menu and select Properties.
The Text property page allows you to define the dimensions, alignment, and content of the text control.
Properties
Type. Specifies whether the control is formatted as a single line or paragraph of text.
Text. Specifies the content of the text control. Enter the desired text into this field.
Linked Control. Specifies the related reply object of the text control, if applicable. The control specified here will be grouped together with the selected text control.
Placement. If linked to a reply object, specifies the position of the text control relative to the linked control.
Paragraph Width. If formatted as a paragraph of text, specifies the horizontal dimension of the text control in the specified unit of measurement.
Alignment. Defines the text alignment of the text control.
Reading order. Sets the reading order for the reply box. Choose Auto to use the reading order of the selected typeface. Selecting a reading order that is not supported by the selected typeface results in
