Understanding Double-Sided Printing

Some printers have the capability of printing on both sides of a page. This feature, known as double-sided printing or duplex printing, can increase printing efficiency and also decrease the amount of paper used in your print jobs. Some printers automatically print on both sides of a page (automatic duplex printing), while other printers print the front side of all pages, and require you to flip the stack of pages and feed them back into the printer (manual duplex printing). For printer models that support automatic duplex printing, BarTender allows you to design and print documents containing separate designs for the back and front of the item. To determine whether your printer supports double-sided printing, consult the printer manual or contact the printer manufacturer.
