The Performance tab, located on the Printer Code Template Setup dialog, specifies how BarTender will take advantage of built-in printer capabilities when using a Seagull printer driver. Each of the options on this tab can be individually set to control the allowed behavior to Optional/Required/Disabled. Selecting Optional for a setting will display it as enabled and checked in the Export Printer Code Template dialog; Required will display it as disabled and checked, and Disabled will display it as disabled and unchecked. If the option is not supported by the current printer, it will show as unchecked and disabled.
Printer Optimizations
-
Allow Static Graphics. Specifies that BarTender will use the printer's static graphics feature to store the specifications for all raster-type graphic objects that print out exactly the same from item to item, including TrueType fonts.
-
Allow Static Objects. Specifies that BarTender will use the printer's static objects feature to store the specifications for ALL objects that print out exactly the same from item to item, whether or not they are raster graphics. This includes printer fonts, barcodes, imported graphics, and TrueType fonts.
-
Allow Variable Data Optimization. Specifies that BarTender will use the printer's data merge feature to store the item's formatting specifications (object positions, symbology, fonts, etc.) so that only object data needs to be transmitted.
-
Allow Serialization. Specifies that BarTender will use the built-in incrementing capabilities of the specified printer whenever appropriate. (This option cannot be turned off when you are exporting a printer code template.)
