The Output tab, located on the Printer Code Template Setup dialog, determines what controls will be available in the Export Printer Code Template dialog, and sets the default values for these options. The options in the Output tab allow you to set the default directory and default file extension.
Output to Port. Printer Code Templates can be sent directly to the printer, keyboard terminal, XML enabled printer, or ERP system instead of being exported to a file. The following options are available:
Optional: The dialog will permit Output to Port to be selected.
Required: Output to Port will be the only export method available.
Disabled: Output to Port will not be available.
Separate Format and Data Files. Printer Code Templates can be exported in one file or in separate format and data files. The following options are available:
Optional: The dialog will permit either All in One File or Separate Format and Data Files to be selected.
Required: Only Separate Format and Data Files will be available.
Disabled: Separate Format and Data Files will be unavailable.
Printer Code Only for Format File. When Separate Format and Data Files is available as an option, the format file can be set to only contain printer code. The following options are available:
Optional: The Printer Code Only checkbox is enabled and can be checked.
Required: The Printer Code Only checkbox is checked and cannot be changed.
Disabled: The Printer Code Only checkbox is unchecked and cannot be changed.
Default Directory. Specifies the default directory for printer code template file(s). If no path is entered in the Export Printer Code Template, this directory will be used.
Default Extension. Specifies the default extension added to the exported printer code template file(s). If no extension is specified in the Export Printer Code Template, this extension is used.
