Print-Time Overrides

As of the December 2024 release, administrators can now enable users to change some default print settings at the time they print a document. Depending on the printer, these settings can include:

• Backfeed Speed

• Darkness Method

• Direct Thermal Darkness Level

• Graphics Encoding

• Print Speed

• Relative Darkness Level

• Slew Speed

• Thermal Transfer Darkness Level

To determine the items that can be modified at print time, administrators use fields on the Settings tab of the Printer Details page; the modifications are made by users on the Print page when a document is printed.

BarTender Cloud does not support the modification of printer settings for all printers. If modifications are not supported for a printer, you must modify the settings in the printer driver.
