Event Log Page

Use the Event Log Page to view, search, and filter BarTender Cloud event log data. You can add columns to the table and sort the data by ascending or descending order by clicking the column header. You can also export the data to a file.

  • Click to open the BarTender Cloud menu, then click Administration and select Event Log.

The following options are available:

  • Date Range: Filters the table results by the time frame during which the events occurred, such as the past seven days. Click to display a list of available time frames to filter by.

  • Export: Exports the event log data that is shown in the table to a file in the format that you specify in the list.

  • : Searches the table for a specific event record by keyword.

  • : Displays the column chooser list so that you can select the columns that you want to be displayed in the table. The following options are available:

    • Expand: Shows the expand icon (). This option is enabled by default and cannot be changed.

    • Hide All: Hides all columns except the Event Type column, which is always displayed by default.

    • Show All: Shows all columns.

    • Time: Shows the Time column, which you can use to sort the events by timestamp.

    • Event Type: Shows the Event Type column, which you can use to sort the events by the event type, such as Password Reset, Update User, Delete Role, and so on. This option is enabled by default and cannot be changed.

    • Done By: Shows the Done By column, which you can use to sort the events by the name of the user who initiated them.

    • Source: Shows the Source column, which you can use to sort the events by the service that initiated them, such as Security Service.

    For each event record, you can click to view further details about the event.

To set a custom date range

  1. On the Event Log page, select Custom from the Date Range field.

    The Custom Date Range dialog displays.

  2. In the Start date field, select the starting date from which you want to include event log data.

  3. In the End date field, select the ending date to which you you want to include event log data.

  4. Click Apply.

    The Event Log page displays Custom in the Date Range field and includes all events that occurred between the start and end dates you defined.

To clear a custom date range

  • Select any of the other options in the Date Range field to close the custom date range and replace it with the defined date range.

  1. On the Event Log page, click Export.

  2. In the File Name field of the Export Event Log dialog, accept the default name or enter a name of your own.

  3. In the File Type field, select the kind of file you want to export: CSV, TXT, or XLS.

  4. Click Export.
