This printer appears in the Favorited Printers list in the Printer dropdown when you print a document. You can use a local, network, or PDF printer as your default.

ClosedTo specify a default printer

  • In the Default Printer area, select the printer to use as the default from the Default Printer dropdown.

This printer appears in the Favorited Printers group in the Printer dropdown on the Print page. If the administrator has set a default printer for the organization on the Print Settings page (Administration > Settings > Print Settings), the printer selected here replaces that printer as the default for the current user only. If the current user selects None for the default printer, then no printer appears in the Favorited Printers group on the Printer dropdown. Local, network, or PDF printers can be set as the default printer.

If there are no printers available for a group—for example, if a user does not have any local printers installed—that group does not appear in the Printers dropdown.
