Size Property Page |
Use the Size property page to specify the size of a picture object on the template or data entry form.
You can access this property page from both the Template Design view and the Data Entry Form view, as follows:
In the Template Design view, access the Size property page from the Picture Properties (templates) dialog.
In the Data Entry Form view, access the Size property page from the Picture Properties (forms) dialog.

When you select a picture object on your template or form, you might be able to resize the image by using the sizing handles that appear on each side and corner of your picture. Depending on the settings that are specified on the Size property page, you might have access to some or all sizing handles. If a handle is solid, you can drag it to proportionally size or stretch a picture. If a handle is hollow, you cannot use it to size a picture. |
The following options are available.
Picture Dimensions
Sizing Method: Specifies the method used to determine the size of the picture. The options that are available include the following:
Fit to Rectangle: Sizes a picture by forcing it into a specified area. You can use your mouse to adjust a picture's size or enter an exact measurement by using the following options:
Width: Specifies the width of the rectangle.
Height: Specifies the height of the rectangle.
Fit Method: Specifies how the picture is aligned within the rectangle.
Entire Picture: Fits the image into the rectangle while maintaining the original aspect ratio.
Width: Fits the image so that the width of the image matches the width of the rectangle. This may result in vertical clipping of your image.
Height: Fits the image so that the height of the image matches the height of the rectangle. This may result in horizontal clipping of your image.
Horizontal Alignment: Specifies the horizontal positioning of the image inside the rectangle when it does not fit exactly.
Vertical Alignment: Specifies the vertical positioning of the image inside the rectangle when it does not fit exactly.
Stretch to Rectangle: Forces the image to stretch to fill a given rectangle.
Width: Specifies the width of the image.
Height: Specifies the height of the image.
Lock Aspect Ratio: Maintains the height and width at the same proportions when the picture is resized.
Percentage of Original Size: Sizes a picture as a percentage of its original dimensions.
Lock Size: Maintains the same height and width measurements as the dimensions that are specified on the Size property page. When you select this option, the picture cannot be resized until the Lock Size option is cleared.
