Expanded Tolerance |
Each symbology specifies a tolerance for the printed widths of bars and spaces and specifies a contrast between bars and spaces. Color field tolerances are primarily determined by the quiet zone requirements for the Data Matrix element of the 2D-Pharmacode symbology. The recommended quiet zone value is 3X.
When you click to select the Expanded Tolerance option, the color fields can be placed farther apart instead of at the standard tolerance of 3X. This option accommodates printing techniques that cannot guarantee the required standard dimensions because of the steps that are needed to print the individual colors.
When you use this option, the overall symbol size increases.
